Sajama
Sajama is the highest mountain in Bolivia which is located at the Sajama National Park, bordering Chile.
How to Get There
If you are in La Paz, you are approximately 290 kilometers away from the base of the mountain. By riding a truck, you can reach Sajama area after five hours.
Best Time to Climb
July and September offer the best climbing conditions, taking into account the fact that in October until April, the conditions are snowy.
Consider the fact that temperature changes as you ascend. Therefore, there may be high winds and conditions can be really cold. Be prepared and take the necessary precautions. Localized storms, high winds, and constant changes in weather may be encountered.
