Pissis
Pissis is considered as the second highest volcano in the world, and the third highest peak in South America. It was named after Pierre Joseph Pissis, a French Scientist. Three of its four summits are approximately of the same elevation. In 1937, Osiecki and Szczepanskim climbed the west summit. They were both Polish mountaineers who climbed the highest among the four summits of Pissis.
The peak of Pissis is covered with glacier, making the climb harder for the mountaineers. there is a need for good climbing gear and equipment in order to reach the peak.
Best Time to Climb
The period of December until March offers good climbing conditions.
