Ojos del Salado
Ojos del Salado is the world's highest volcano, the highest point in Chile, and the second highest mountain in South America.
In February 26, 1937, Justyn Wojsznis and Jan Szczepanski (Polish mountaineers) first climbed the peak of Ojos del Salado
Best Time to Climb
People usually take climbs during the December to March period.
Ojos del Salado has varying weather conditions, so it is best to prepare and take the necessary safety measures. A warm climbing condition can also be a windy one. Do not get complacent when the conditions are sunny and warm. Weather changes rapidly so make sure you have the suitable climbing apparel. Moreover, protect your hands and face.
