SMC Hinged 12 Point Crampons
Manufactured from the finest quality chrome-moly steel, SMC 12 Point Hinged Crampons are made to take the abuse that all crampons must endure. Using a simple, efficient design, SMC crampons will reliably fit any boot - from stiff-soled leather to rigid plastics, with or without over boots. They have been designed with a horizontal frame to resist snow balling up underneath your foot. The hinge has been carefully located to add extra stiffness at the instep, keeping more points in contact with the climbing surface. Traverse points at the instep and rear of the crampon give added security on downhill travel.
