Crestone Peak
With a summit that lies at 4357 meters, Crestone Peak is the seventh highest mountain in Colorado. The traverse from this mountain to Crestone Needle is Colorado's one of the four spectacular ridge traverses in the 14ers.
The climb itself is challenging. Furthermore, getting there is not easy. It is difficult no matter what direction you are from.
Best Time to Climb
In general, the months of July, August, and early September offer good climbing conditions.
