Mount Logan
Mount Logan is the highest mountain in Canada and the second highest in North America. Logan has the largest base circumference of any mountains in the world with a summit crest of about 10 miles.
Due to its proximity to the Gulf of Alaska it is expose to extreme weather conditions. It is subject to severe snowstorms any time of the year. The climbing season is from late April to early July. The mountain is normally accessed by air charter or by 2 weeks of travel on moraines and glaciers from Kluane Lake. One must apply for a mountaineering license at least 90 days before the climb.
