Murder Mystery Author to Climb Kilimanjaro

Researching for the final novel for his Summit Murder Mystery Series, Publisher, Author and Philanthropist
Charles G. Irion will be volunteering in Tanzania with the K2 Adventures Foundation. He will be joining a
Mount Kilimanjaro mountaineering expedition, a major milestone for Irion. This expedition will provide him the
necessary book research, and participate in medical mission in his 60th birthday.
Irion initially climbed Mount Everest to get a firsthand view in writing his book, Murder on Everest. His
expedition in China in 1987 from the China Side have brought him exceptional knowledge on the book's
setting. His expedition to Kilimanjaro will start off on June 30, lasting for 7 days with expected schedule to
summit on the 5th of July, in his efforts to make the storyline incredibly authentic. Prior to climbing this
mountain, he will be joining the k2 Adventures Foundation for two days of community service at the
Mwereni Integrated School for the Blind in Tanzania.
