Irish Dies on Everest |

41-year old John Delaney, the managing director of online market prediction company Intrade.com, died on May 20 while attempting to climb Mount Everest. The Irish national was said to have collapsed at about less than 50 metres short of the summit. This was his second attempt to summit the world's highest mountain.

Mount McKinley Claims 2 for the Month |

North America's highest peak had claimed two fatalities in a matter of less than a week. Two climbers fell to their death in Alaska's Mount McKinley, only a few days apart from each other.

Second Pakistani Summits Mount Everest |

Veteran Mountaineer Hasan Sadpara summitted Mount Everest on May 12. The 48 year old Pakistani followed Nazir Sabir to summit Mount Everest. Sabir summitted Mount Everest in 2000 and became the first Pakistani to hoist Pakistani flag on top of the worlds highest Mountain.
