Trends have recently shown a rapid increase in the interest and desire that people have to escape the normal routine of life by seeking outdoor adventure, specifically rock climbing and mountaineering. Often, people who wish to learn these sports do not know where to begin. To that end, Ascent Adventure Consultants, North Carolina’s premier professional rock climbing guide company, has increased the availability of scheduled rock climbing and mountaineering adventures, so that people can find adventures and classes that fit their schedule and meet their desires for adventure.
Using feedback from current rock climbing clients, and through talking to potential climbing course participants, Ascent Adventure Consultants has developed courses such as single day rock climbing adventures in Western North Carolina, longer weekend rock climbing and mountaineering adventures throughout the USA, and extended adventures internationally, such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa in February 2010. They also are offering instructional rock climbing courses and wilderness first aid courses.
