This year's World Mountain Running Race will be held in Sierre Crans-Montana on the 14th of September. Located in the center of Valais, the region's lush scenery and historic culture of castles and wine villages will serve as backdrop of the race course.
The event will start off on the 11th with a dinner at Crans-Montana, with the 12th and the 13th open for course inspection. The opening ceremony is scheduled at 4 pm on the 13th in Sierre, with the actual race to commence on the 14th at 8 am. Flower ceremonies will be held for all four categories at the end of each race, with prize giving and closing ceremonies at 3 pm on the 14th. The event will be concluded with a farewell party in Crans-Montana also on the 14th.
