MCI Youth Meet to be Held this August

The MCI Youth Meet will be held this August at the Mourne Mountains, organized by the Mountaineering Club of Ireland (MCI). The mountaineering event will provide a venue for young individuals to further enrich their skills in hillwalking, climbing, and bouldering.

The MCI Youth Meet will begin with the Outdoor Climbing event on the 7th of August. The same activity will be held on August 16. The youth meet will be concluded with a three-day activity from the 27th to the 29th, details of which will be announced at a later date.

The MCI aims to promote mountaineering activities in the country, representing climbers and walkers who have the passion for mountaineering. With 9,000 members, the club is recognized as the National Governing Body for mountaineering, set to promote safety and training as well as utilize and provide access to Irish hills and crags.
