Forty-two year old Peter Knoop is now admitted in an Italian hospital and is currently fighting for his life as he encountered a grave accident while climbing the Gran Pilastro Mountain last Sunday.
According to reports, Knoop was climbing with a friend when he was accidentally struck by falling rocks, and caused him to suffer serious head injuries. Immediately after, Knoop was brought to Santa Chiara hospital in Trento for an emergency assistance. However, due to the serious injuries he incurred, Knoor was transferred to the head injuries unit of Borgo Trento Hospital in Verona.
According to the attending doctor of Knoop, the climber is still in coma due to the head injuries he got.
Knoop is the vice president of engineering of an electronics company in Cambridge. The said company already spoke regarding the accident that one of their executives experienced. Their spokesman said the whole company is confident that Knoop will recover from the accident and be better again.
As of press time, Knoop is still in the Verona Hospital and is in a critical but stable condition.
