NZAC Holds 2007 Photographic Competition

The New Zealand Alpine Club's (NZAC) 2007 Photographic Competition has just started.
Open to all NZAC members, NZAC's Photocomp has six main theme categories, namely Alpine Activity, Alpine General, Alpine Nature, Rock climbing, Humour, and Photojournalism. In addition, an "Overall Champion Image" will also be declared among the entries, regardless of the category it belonged to.
Each contestant is entitled to submit three digital images or slides, at most, for every category he/she wants to participate in. Interested parties may submit their entries on or before July 31, 2007.
Along with copies of their winning photos, the name of the winners will be announced through The Climber and other NZAC publications.
Sponsored by Olympus, Marmot, Scarpa and Imagelab, this year’s winners will receive over $7,000 worth of prizes, including camera equipment and outdoor gear.
