Filipino Mountaineers Ready to Conquer Everest

The three Filipino women who will scale Mount Everest completed their preparation by climbing the 5,500 meter peak of Gokyo Ri in the Everest region. They were trained at the altitude where the atmosphere is only fifty percent compared to sea level.
Janet Belarmino, Carina Dayondon and Noelle Wenceslao are ready to climb the top of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest. The women according to their doctor Dr. Ted Esguerra, performed extremely well and are physically and mentally ready for the climb.
The three girls had their successful climb in Gokyo Ri where they spent an hour praying and crying. Noelle said in an email from Kathmandu their climb on Gokyo Ri boosted their morale.
