Retired Minister Will Scale Mount Qomolangma

Together with his team, the sixty-four year old Former Malaysian Deputy Minister Datuk Khalid Yunus arrived in Kathmandu Sunday. He will lead an expedition to climb Mount Qomolanama and palns to scale the world's tallest peak on May 15 to 22 of this year.
The retired politician said he will climb the tallest peak to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the independence of his country. He had scaled different peaks and had spent the last four years traveling to Scotland, Nepal, France and Argentina. The lifelong sports enthusiast took up mountaineering six years ago and got hooked to it.
He will scale Mount Qomolanama along with his team who are composed of 11 support climbers and three support crew members.
