An alumni of India's premier technology and management institutes, has set a world record for conquering the highest peaks of all the seven continents in the shortest time.
The 32 year old, Malli Mastan Babu climbed all the peaks in 172 days. An electrical engineering graduate from an institute in Central India, Malli took mountaineering seriously in 2004 by climbing peaks in Himalayas and first scaled Mount Vinson Massif, the tallest peak in Antarctica in January of 2006. One of his greatest satisfaction was when he conquered Mount Everest last May 21, 2006.
Malli was honored by Indian Mountaineering legends lead by Capt. M.S. Kohli and was featured in his book called "On Top of the World -- The Indian Everest Saga". Check www.bernama.com for details about this news story.
