Basic Mountaineering Course for Potential Climbers

A mountaineering group founded by the pillars of the erstwhile Sandawa Apo in Davao conducted whole day training on basic mountaineering Course.
The Sandawa Pro-Ecology Great Outdoor (SPEGO) conducted the training to potential climbers who were recruited last Sunday. The trainees were thought to make environment protection as their primary concern. Lecturers wanted to instill to potential climbers how to be more responsible and be always prepared to react on emergency situations.
The program which was facilitated by veteran climber Benjie Libaya will run until the recruits will finish the Basic Mountaineering Course that emphasizes Climb Preparations, Camp Management, Land Navigation, Wilderness First Aid and Trail Ethics. According to www.sunstar.com.ph SPEGO is registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission and was founded on March of 2002.
