Nike Team wins Primal Quest 2006


WEDNESDAY, 12 JULY 2006

Colorado-based Nike/Powerblast squad crossed the finish line at Red Cliffs Lodge and won again this year in the Primal Quest adventure race held in Moab, Utah.

Monique Merrill (Breckenridge), Mike Kloser (Vail), Ian Adamson (Boulder) and Michael Tobin (Boise, Idaho) covered the nearly 500-mile course with 22 minutes to spare. They conquered the brutal Utah desert faster than anyone else could, making the team grab its fourth Primal Quest title.

Racers this year were faced with different adventures like mountaineering, canyoneering, trekking, mountain biking, whitewater swimming, paddling, horseback riding, and day & night navigation.
