I have an old mummy bag that seems very warm but has no tag. I'll be climbing mt Kilimanjaro in August and am hoping not to have to buy a brand new bag. The sleeping bag brand is Mountain Equipment Inc. (of Fresno, CA - now out of business) and the model is "Polarline". It seems like a warm bag - has snap at the top for keeping zipper zipped and has a drawstring for the "hood" at top of bag. Short of going to sub 20 degree temps and testing it out - how can I tell if this will be warm enough for temps at elevations of 15,000 - 19,000 feet?
