Hello! This is my first post of what I hope will be many on here. I'm looking to buy a backpacking pack for multi-day to extended-day trips. I'm 24 years old, 5'9.5 165-170lbs, and live in Orange County, CA. I've been backpacking since I was 5 years old and have been ever since... My father was part of San Diego Mountain Rescue and a volunteer ranger at San Jacinto. Enough about me (I thought it may help someone find the right pack). I'm looking for a pack around 80-95L at around a $200 price range with $300 being the very max, as I'm hoping to keep this gear for years to come. My brother just bought the REI Mars 80L pack for $200. I may end up buying that, but I would like something different, and maybe better using a little research. My current packs include; Kelty Redwing 2650, Mountainsmith Bugaboo, and an REI pack at my bros which belonged to my grandfather which I'm told is bigger than the aforementioned (although I'd like my own NEW pack). Thanks in advance, Steven Obermayer

The Osprey Argon has served me very well over the past couple years (pushing the limits of your budget though)

Dana Packs also make some very good load haulers that climbing buddies have been happy with (not sure about price though)

I have had the best luck with Osprey packs all the way around. They have amazing customer support and i love their packs.
