Westcomb is the answer to that question. they are not a spinoff they are Arcteryx from what I heard from a rep. Westcomb used to make the clothing for Arcteryx and when they wanted to go to Asia for cheaper production Westcomb told them to bugger off and cleaved off on their own. They started selling their line under their real name. So, when you buy Westcomb you are buying Arcteryx only cheaper. That is what I heard and assume no responsability for inaccuracies arising from this post. Climb on and send me a frickin Moosejaw T-shirt.

Great information!  Thanks.  I am a Moosejaw and Arcteryx junkie.  Can I get a tee-shirt too?

Westcomb tends to use Event material in their jackets and as you know Arcteryx is going to be Gore. I havnt seen too many other companies using Event other than Westcomb and Wild Things. Id love to see their products in real life.
