Romanian Carpathians have many possibilities for mountaineering, climbing and trekking.

For example, the famous ridge of Fagarasi mountain (Transylvanian Alps) is a classic long trip route for trekkers (summer season), sleeping in tents nearby glacier lakes or using more comfortable high alpine huts.

Bucegi Mountains (Prahova valley), another great target for mountain sports… Trad climbing (300-600m conglomerate walls), classic mountaineering, trekking routes… Dracula’s castle...

And… if you love water but also climbing, you should go in Dobrogea area, where you can find great places for bouldering and one pitch routes nearby Black Sea beach or Danube Delta.
