K2 was first climbed by an Italian tem lead by Ardito Desio.

How to Get There

From Islamabad, go to Skardu, the starting point or the gateway to the high peaks. Go to Askolie. This is the nearest village to K2. You can get the trekking permits at Islamabad.

Best Time to Climb

Conditions are favorable for climbers from June until September.
