At 8586 meters, Kangchenjunga, which means "Five Treasures of the Great Snow", is considered as the world's third highest mountain.

For the people of Sikkim, the summit of Kangchenjunga is a sacred area. This is the reason why there are climbers who stopped several feet from the top as a way of respecting what the people believe in.

Best Time to Climb

In the Himalaya Region, climbing conditions are favorable during the pre-monsoon (April to May) and post-monsoon (late September to October) seasons.
