The Seven Summits - The Mount Everest
The world's highest summit is the Mount Everest - named after the British Surveyor General - Sir George Everest. The Nepalese Sherpas to the south of the Everest have always called it "Sagamartha" and the Tibetans on the northern side of the mountan called it "Chomolungma", which means the "Goddess Mother of the Earth".
One has a sublime view from the Everest from the north and the west, when it stands out its neighbors: Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Makalu. In this section, we give some information on this fabulous mountain.

When To Go
Unless you are a die-hard Climber, it is best to Climb Everest during the Climbing season which starts at around April. During that period, you are ensured of a relatively safe ascent. Learn more by clicking on the icon at the left.

Approach and Climbing Routes
Today, there are four Climbing Routes you can choose to take to reach Everest's summit. You can choose to take the South Col Route which the most popular or the four or South West Face, which is more challenging, albeit, harder Route. Read more in this section.

Mount Everest is the tallest mountain not only of the Seven Summits but also of the whole world. Climbing it takes a lot of time, determination and even resources. While you can choose when to Climb it and at the same time have more than enough resources to achieve that, only your determination can push you to move further until you are on the top of the world.
